I love to read. And, I love to recommend books. I just wish I could read faster and absorb more. Part of the problem with a good book is that I like to savor it. I don’t want to rush. I want to chew on the words and taste them over and over again. But, then I want to tell everyone about that book.

I will be glad to share recommendations of books here, as I read and take time to post.

Recommendation Focus

These book recommendations and reviews are typically books I would recommend for the parochial school classroom. I’ll tell you why I recommend the book and some ideas you might want to use to enhance your students’ reading (or listening) time.

Occasionally, I get asked to review a book that doesn’t fit my recommendation preferences (not for kids or perhaps controversial in some way.) I may still post a review for that book, but I’ll make it clear; when it says “recommendation” it means I do recommend it for Christian learning.

I like to think that reading my recommendation will be reward enough, but I do plan to do a few giveaways. I’ll try to have these drawings occasionally as I have materials.

Question: What is a good book you’ve read lately, and why would you recommend it?
